Ribs and Chicken Oriental Recipe

This Pinay recipe is a delicious and tasty yet it is simple and easy to cook. This Ribs and Chicken Oriental is a favorite in our Sunday family get together. This recipe was introduced to me by my aunt who is a cook at a catering business. Try this food recipe and you will like it. You licked the rib i tell you. LOL.

Ingredients:

1 kg Pork ribs (chopped lengthwise)
1 kg chicken, cut into serving portion
1 1/2 cups soy sauce
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 tbsp. sesame oil
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 inch ginger, cut into small lenghtwise
2 cups water (add some more if sauce thickens)
1/4 cup sesame seeds toasted
onion leaves (topping and siding)

Procedure:

Mix soysauce, brown sugar and sesame oil together and set aside. Put the 1/4 cup cooking oil in a heavy skillet (preferably teflon) and fry the chicken and set aside. From the oil left in the skillet, saute garlic and ginger then put the ribs. Turn the meat until it becomes white. Pour the soy sauce, sugar and sesame oil mixture and water into the ribs. Cover the pan and let it simmer until the ribs are cooked. Open the skillet once in a while to turn the meat until the sauce thickens.

Whe the ribs are cooked, mix the pan fried chicken and let it simmer until all the meat are tender and sauce thickens. When meat are tender, pour half of the sesame seeds and stir again.

When served, sprinkle the remaining sesame seed and onion leaves on top.

And you have a delicious and tasty Ribs and Chicken Oriental .
