Adobong Manok| Chicken Adobo

Another all-time Filipino favorite dish, the delicious tasting adobong manok or chicken adobo for all season. This Filipino favorite dish have different variations according to different regions of the Philippines. This recipe is very simple and easy to cook.

For you dearest, I will post a Pinay Recipe of Tagalog variation of adobong manok.

Here is the Pinay recipe of Adobong Manok.

Adobong Manok/ Chicken Adobo

1 kilo chicken
1 cup water
1/2 cup vinegar
3/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon peppercorn
1/4 cup cooking oil

Procedure:

Cut chicken. You can buy sliced chickens at the market or in meat shops. Boil with soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, peppercorn and water. Set aside the boiled chicken, separate the broth. Fried the chicken in cooking oil. Let chicken drip the excess oil or you can put the chicken on towel tissue paper. Simmer the broth until thick enough and then put the chicken.

You can add laurel or bay leaf to add taste or add some chili if you want it spicy and hot.

There you go, the delicious, tasty adobong manok.

You can fry left over chicken adobo or adobong manok. You can make sandwiches with left over chicken adobo.
